The Vanguard Safety Wear MK-2 Ultra is a gauntlet style, wing thumb Structural Firefighting Glove certified compliant to the NFPA 1970 Standard on Protective Ensemble for Structural Firefighting 2025 Edition, by SEI.

Features:

• Unique Finger Tip construction for enhanced tactility/dexterity.
• Thumb Crotch reinforced to enhance durability.
• Palm layers are sewn down together for more contoured grip.
• Leather Grab Patch along palm side cuff enhances don and doff performance.

Palm Details:

• Outer Shell on the palm side and along the finger sidewalls is constructed of kangaroo leather. Kangaroo Skin is ounce for ounce the most durable leather with 10 times the tensile strength of cowhide
• All finger tips have a separately stitched rolled over portion of Goat Skin 4cm along the palm side and 3cm down back the side.
• Second Palm Side Layer and Finger Sidewall Layers are 260gm Kevlar knit fabric.

Glove Back Details:

• Back Side Outer Shell up to the Finger Crotches and the Back of Thumb down to the Cuff Edge are constructed of water resistant sueded Goat Skin.
  • Outer Layer at the Fingers is a 260gm Kevlar Knit fabric designed as such to enhance tactility/dexterity.
  • Second Back Side Layer is a 260gm Kevlar knit fabric running the full length of the glove for cut/puncture protection and thermal insulation.
  • Third Back Side Partial Layer is a 260gm Para-aramid knit fabric running from the Cuff Edge to the Knuckles.
  • Fourth Back Side Layer is a 270gm Nomex knit fabric running the full length of the glove for thermal insulation

Inner Liner Details:

• Inner Liner is a smooth 260gm Para-Aramid knit fabric providing thermal insulation and cut/puncture protection.
• Moisture Barrier - Porelle Brand which is bonded and sewn in at the finger tips. The barrier itself is certified compliant to the NFPA 1970-2025 edition Standard.
