How to Deploy Fire Blanket?

• Minimum two people should deploy the fire blanket.
• Roll out the fire blanket and center it before it is deployed.
 • Both persons should first grab each their handle, tighten the fire blanket and then safely pull it over the car in one continuous movement.
 • Always center the fire blanket after covering the car.
 • Make sure the fire blanket is tight all the way to the ground and that there are no openings to prevent air gaps

How long The fire blanket needs to cover a fossil fuel car?

• Thermal propagation (known as thermal runaway) produces its own «oxygen» and is hard to turn out with traditional tools.
 • A thermal propagation can go on for up to 48 hours, or more. 
• Detect if the thermal propagation has stopped by using a thermal camera.
 • After the thermal propagation stops, leave the blanket on for minimum one hour before it is removed.
 • We recommend to leave the blanket on when transported on a tow truck. Tie it properly with a rope or a load strap at tire level.
